These short videos are a response to a critical reflection about the role of the military system and enterprises in the Korean society. Often, the military system, as much as the enterprises, function as systems depriving people’s basic rights, forcing them to obedience and order to increase profit and interests of a selected class of people. By increasing competition and social Darwinism, these systems force people to act in their daily lives as soldiers of an economic army, where the other is conceived mostly as a possible competitor. The video has its set up in mountains, factories, and protest areas as Gwanghwamun Square. As a deserter amongnst a mass of invisible soldiers, I dressed up in a white uniform, intentionally exposing myself to be distinct. In my actions, I was exasperating the military language to almost its primitive gestures, in grotesque and almost ironic mannerisms, as thoseof what could be a 21st Century caveman.
